Thinking of bringing a Vizsla into your household?

Want to find out more about them?

Or perhaps you already have one and want

You are in the right place.

Find out more about the Vizsla breed's character and traits.  Look on our Characteristics page.

Tail Docking:
The Hungarian Vizsla has traditionally had a one third tail dock.
The practice of tail docking was banned in Australia from 2004.
Since this national ban, The Hungarian Vizsla Club of NSW has been informed of a number of injuries occurring to Vizslas with full length tails and has commenced keeping statistics for submission to relevant bodies.

Should you have, or know of a Vizsla who has suffered a tail injury, we urge you assist us by completing and submitting the  Tail Injury Report Form in PDF Format

Find Out More:
The Club receives many enquiries for information on the breed and puppy availability.

Ros Leighton, the Club's Puppy Registrar and Breed Information Officer, keeps records of litters due and interested buyers.  She also keeps information on people looking for rescue dogs or re-homes.

Please feel welcome to email her or call on
02 4841 0282 if you would like more information about any of these areas.
